Slab Building I Serving Tray Set

Service Description

Here is your opportunity to create and make your own custom pair of matching serving trays for your home. During the 3 hour workshop you will learn the technique of firm slab building, an exciting way to create bold shapes and forms. You will create individual trays for purpose, service and visual pleasure. Creating bold, inspired pieces with nicely detailed handles. Rolled, cut, formed and assembled clay with your own hands to make simple forms. What will you be creating? 2 x Small Square or Rectangular Serving Trays with bespoke handles When you have completed your beautiful tray you can leave them at the Atelier where they will be glazed and fired, then will be available for collection within 4 - 5 weeks. If you If you are unable to collect from the store then we can arrange for a delivery of these on your behalf. What to bring? You only need to bring your beautiful self, everything else will be provided for you at the atelier. Comfortable clothing and closed toes shoes into the workshops are recommended. Atelier Provisions: A selection of breakfast treats will be provided for Morning Workshops at the Atelier. You will also receive a Spencer Ceramics token for your coffee and tea fix provided from Vagabond, located in Habitat. Midday and Afternoon Workshops will have a selection of tasting plates also provided by Vagabond. The Spencer Ceramics ‘Drinks’ trolley will be provided in store with a selection of beverages provided. You may bring your own preference of beverage if you desire. THINGS TO BE MINDFUL OF: READ WITH CARE - Please choose carefully as we do not offer cash refunds on the workshops at Spencer Ceramics. Cancellation Policy: We do need to have a strict 24 hour cancellation policy for all workshops at Spencer Ceramics. These workshops do book out in advance, so to ensure a fair booking system we ask for more than 24 hours notice so that we have the option to offer the space to someone else who has be on a waiting list or wishing to attend. If cancellation is made before 24 hours of the workshop you will be credited back into your account to book in another time that works for you. You can also send another person in you place should you have someone who would like to attend. Please ensure that you take all the necessary precautions and care for you and others as COVID - 19 is still present in our communities. Please advise if you situations changes, your health is of the great importance.

Cancellation Policy

I am wanting to always be as fair and understanding as possible and understand that life can throw us curve balls now and then. To try and keep things flowing openly as possible I would expect to have 5 days notice for a cancellation. This will enable me to open up the space for other people who would like to attend but also give them time to get to the store for their workshop. If less than seven days’ notice is given, we will be unable to offer a refund, however, we are able to offer you a credit. However, to be fair, cancellations within 48 hours of the class commencement then there will be no credit or refund allocated. Full refunds can be returned to you if you are within the 5 day cancellation period.
